Meet Bussy. He is about to experience backyard "jet
propulsion" at its best and basically have the ride of his life.
It really works. Thrust is generated by the continuous rush of the air being
exhausted from the tube of the leaf blower and the blast was sufficient to
propel Bussy forward into the path of the future..
This improvised mock of a home made jet propulsion system in its infancies
illustrates the ease of how to quickly construct a rover to explore small and
perhaps inaccessible places.
Here is the final and fabulous backyard technological achievement. Notice the
similarities to a Rocket engine and how it works like a turbine by basically
drawing air, pressurizing and expelling it to generate thrust.
The
thrust obviously comes from the "exhaust jet" and as mentioned above you can see
that this is conceptually very simple and surprisingly very reliable as long as
there is gas in the tank.
Here is the top view of the final masterpiece to add to the beginner's guide to
jet propulsion.
